We bought a ferry ticket for koh tao at this place. The next day we got picked up by a pickup truck at our hotel (which should drive us to the pier) but he drove us straight to the travel agency. The lady at the agency then told us that the ferry wouldn't leave at the pier in Surat Thani but at a drifferent pier that is located a 1h cardrive further away. She then wanted us to pay 2000 baht so the pickup truck driver would drive us there. Of course we had to accept the offer because if not, we would have been late for the ferry. At least we could negotiate a better price. But still, if we wouldn't have been that stubborn, we would have paid waaay to much. It is also suspicious that we were picked up exactly at the right time, so that they could still drive us to the other place.
