The 2 days we spent with Thailand Hilltribe Holidays were the highlights of our trip to Thailand. The owners were so accommodating as we were traveling with 4 kids under 4 and planned the most amazing trip for us. From visiting a local Hilltribe school, to eating incredible, homemade food, to staying overnight in a remote hilltribe village, their tours are unique, authentic, custom and off-the-beaten path. Our favorite parts were riding in Pat's "Tuk Tuk" through the villages, hiking in the rice paddies, meeting the families that live in the Karen Hilltribe village and also spending the night there. We were the first to stay in their new homestay and if you want to experience staying overnight in a village but with a bit of luxury, I highly recommend this! Committed to sustainability, creating economic opportunities to the village people, educational opportunities for the children and spreading knowledge of the Hilltribe Tribes, Chiang Mai and Thailand in general, Thailand Hilltribe Holidays is highly recommended!

We almost didn’t take this tour because we were spending time in a Karen village and I thought it would be more of the same. I was quite wrong. Our guide took us to a few hill tribe villages where we walked around and spent time with each of the people we encountered. Through him we asked questions and were able to learn about their lives as individuals. We weren’t learning about them, we were relating to them, as the individuals they are. It was a most special experience!
Melissa was fantastic beforehand sorting everything out for our tour by e-mail. Pat and the driver were both brilliant on our tour. We were picked up promptly direct from our hotel and Pat was passionate about the local hill tribes and extremely knowledgeable about the local area and customs. We felt 100% safe with Pat (even in the remote areas) as a family of 2 adults / 2 kids this was important to us, and Pat took us to visit the real hill tribes (as well as the main tourist area). We walked in the remote rice fields and drank fresh honey and lemon from a bamboo cup with a local family. It was perfect and worth every penny. Thank-you Pat and Melissa for an unforgettable day!
We had an incredible experience. It was our favorite thing that we did in Thailand. We learned SO much. Tony was an incredible guide. He is SO knowledgeable and has a lot of life experience. Daeng our driver and chef was great too. Truly and unforgettable and one of a kind experience.
Looking for an authentic experience we were not disappointed. The local guide was knowledgeable and allowed us to experience life in a small village in a diverse and positive way.

Genuine local experience, an amazing one that is! Huge props to Pat and Daeng for this tour, it was the highlight of our trip. Tour was well thought of with a lot of flexibility, almost made us feel like locals. Our guide Pat and driver Daeng were both high energy and positive people that made this a great positive experience. They both are very knowledgeable and showed us a lot. Never once we have felt like we are customers, the general vibe was like we were hanging out with our old friends. Thanks a lot for everything! I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to experience the real, beautiful Thailand!
Very nice experience. Winai (the guide) and Sun (the driver) are super nice and led us to visit places we would have never visited would have been by ourself. Strongly recommended experience
