I have been shopping in this store for the 14 months here in Thailand. I am leaving the country and asked them to give me the form to apply for my VAT refund . This first was confusing to them as it appears that no one saved receipts before to apply for a VAT refund. I was asked to wait at the customer service counter where they first looked up my account and I was informed that in the 14 months of shopping here, I was entitled to a 2000 VAT refund. I asked them to please fill out the form so that I can turn it in at the Airport. After an hour of Discussions among themselves, they then decided that they do not have the forms here at this store and cannot process it. I asked them if they could talk to the Corporate offices and ask them to send the form to this store for processing. I was told they cannot do it. After standing at the customer service counter for over an hour, someone decided that they did not know how to process the form. This is unacceptable for a store of this size. This is also unacceptable for any entity that is part of a big corporation.
the only store in Thailand where I'm asked to deposit my backpack, on the regular basis at that. I really don't like to be a customer who's treated as thief.
