This restaurant is from Boston. . It’s not authentic Spanish food. I love some dishes. Price is high. Service was very good. . It’s good for hang out.

Cool place great food
The food is ok, but quite pricey compared to other establishments near by. They claim to be a tapas place but they barely serve anything I would consider to be the typical tapas style meals. Seems mostly North American junk/bar food. I was however impressed with the chef coming out and apologizing for an over cooked dish saying it would be another 20-30 minutes before serving.
Popped in for a midweek meal with my wife who'd been here previously and raved about it but this time we were both left a bit underwhelmed. On the plus side we were one of only 3 tables there but the staff had picked up on the casual vibe too and so were less than attentive. Our order was taken in good time but after that they were a bit slow in checking on us and removing empty plates which can be a bit of an issue if your at a tapas place as there is a continual stream of new plates with nowhere to go if the empty plates are not removed prior. Before we ventured here I had mentioned to a friend we were going to a Spanish tapas place and this person being from Spain I think is well qualified to voice an opinion and they said that Toro isn't really Spanish tapas. Nevertheless soldiered on as my wife had enjoyed her previous outings here. This time though we were both left disappointed. The menu seemed to promise lots and on first look so did the plates but the actual delivery didn't deliver - the steak main was well cooked but all the other interesting bits and pieces neither added or detracted to it, the melon salad was ok but nothing memorable, the paella was really under seasoned and my wife was on the verge of sending it back but we managed to salvage it with some salt. Wouldn't say this would be on our list for a return visit. Promised much but under delivered.
This is a great tapas bar. They have a ton of delicious options. They also have a great alcohol selection. The servers and bartenders are extremely friendly and very attentive. I really like the place that it's in. It's in the 72 building, on the top floor. The top floor is a giant patio with a great garden, so it's a great place to get away from the bustle of the city. They have both inside and outside seating available. The restaurant is very clean and well-organized. It has a great feeling, too.
While the food was good, it made for an overall disappointing experience. The food was tasty, but not quite Spanish. The ambiance was nice too. We basically had a good experience until the end when we were trying to pay the bill. The staff was not very familiar with the Eatigo cash voucher and refused to honor it. After some discussions, they said they deducted it. We trusted them but only to discover that they hadn't. Because of that, we hesitate to go back again, especially when using Eatigo.
Mid April Visit - Had the half PAELLA DE POLLO Y SETAS (plenty enough for 2), the TOMATO TOAST "PAN CON TOMATE and the MINI BURGERS "HAMBURGUESAS". Must of got lucky and picked some of the good ones, really enjoyed what we ate, the paella was beautifully prepared, tasty & full of flavour. The mini burgers were a delightful pop in the mouth experience and the tomato toast was a great start, really pleasant dining experience! Will have to come back to sample more fo their menu!
Tasty tapas. Good sangria!
