Food was very nice, menu was varied and the service for lunch was very good. Price was reasonable, plenty of parking which is important in this location. Only problem, the outdoor seating for smokers dinning is very tiny & needs to be addressed. OK if you are a couple, 3 at the most. Impossible if your group is larger & want to smoke whilst dinning. Alternative for a larger group, enjoy your dinning experience inside & go to the outside dinning area to smoke. Not good for all.
Let's walk our way through this. My last name is Vasquez and I used to live in southern Texas. I have some pretty strong, and I'd say justifiable, opinions about Mexican food. I came here expecting some passable tacos that would be good for being over in bangkok. I didn't expect it to be some of the best Tex-Mex I've had outside of Texas let alone the US. Would definitely recommend coming here! I know I'll be back again before I leave the area.
Great restaurant with authentic Tex Mexican food using fresh ingredients and creative recipes. The host, Dennis, is passionate about his business and goes the extra mile to ensure every customer is satisfied. The ambience is also spot on, from the music to the beautiful decor. If you like Mexican, you'll love this place.
The first and only place that an American from a state next to Mexico complimented that Mexican food here would be reviewed good if this place were located in the US. Other claim-to-be Mexican restaurants in Thailand usually suck. This place is an exception. One score deducted for its staff. The staff was behaving condescending to me as if I didn't know what is what, or how each dish was called, or presumed that I didn't know what each dish was. That's annoying. It's like an act of insulting on their own customers. Train your staff how to give a better service.
I didn't like the queso. The other food might be great, but I just had the queso and it wasn't anything like I expected, based on the white queso I've eaten many times in the US. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was nice. They have parking and are a short walk from the Nana station.
I’ve had this place on my list to try and today was the day. Drove there, wasn’t easy to find but got there. It’s closed!!! Despite the sign on the door saying Open 11am. Maybe it’s closed permanent, who knows. I won’t be back.
Wow what a great restaurant! really nice food, some of which is completely genuine, some more Tex Mex. Great ambiance. Fun staff, a pool table and great drinks. A really enjoyable evening. No hesitation returning to The Mexican when next in Bankgok.
