The old iron bridge raised from Chiang Mai. This is a popular tourist spot where tourists come to take pictures. Nearby there are shops and restaurants where you can relax and dine at friendly prices If you come to Pai, you must come by and visit here.
If you are looking for historic authenticity, Ta Pai Memorial Bridge is not for you. This is neither the bridge built by the Japanese during WW2, nore is it the bridge built by the Thais when the former was destroyed in 1945. The bridge that still stands was built as a memorial bridge in 1972. That being said, the place has character. It does actually feel as if this was a WW2 bridge, with its rusty steel structure. What makes the location really special is its surroundings. The fauna and the river Pai below make the whole place magical. For extra wowness, go check out this bridge just before sunset: breath-taking!
A popular small historic metallic bridge. Many visitors come here.
Nothing too special. Just another tourist place selling typical things. However, you can meet a photographer dressed up as Jack sparrow and he will take photos for 40 baht. He actually takes good photos but you need to listen to his instructions carefully or your photos might be deleted by mistake
It is part of Thai and Pai history. The bridge is a memory not the real bridge. It been burnt by the Japanese and washed away by the flooding but this is the bridge to remember the bridge that was Pai history. Most people don't read the history just take some nice selfish and at sunset there is a great photo to be taken. Please take a photo of the toilet at the parking and add to my list of abounded toilet around Thailand. Its free to go to the bridge.
Old world war 2 bridge constructed by the Japanese
