Best transportation for visiting Yaowarat , the China town. One of most beautiful MRT station in town. Social distancing is a must. The entrance of this station is located on the convenient street for shopping and visiting the famous Chinese temple here.

Wat Mangkon is an MRT Blue Line station. It is located at the center of Thailand’s China Town which is called “Yaowarat”. The station was opened on July 29, 2019. It is decorated by the inspiration from Chinese shrines and temples. Meanwhile, there are lots of facilities inside the station including elevators, escalators, and the PSDs. Wat Mangkon station has changed the way of transportation forever. Now you can travel to the China Town of Bangkok easily with the newly opened metro. There are some tourist attractions near the station as follow: - China Town / Yaowarat (200 m. via Exit 1 or 2) - Dragon Temple (50 m. via Exit 3) - I’m Chinatown department store (300 m. via Exit 3) - Suea Pa (400 m. via Exit 3)

For example, it takes 5 minutes walk from here to Klong Thom market which is well known for hardware, construction materials, home and furnishing tools, etc. Or take 10 minutes walk from here to Sampeng wholesale market which offer a variety of items that are sold in bulk ranging from gift, accessories, cosmetics, electronics, etc. at afforable price. Or you can walk through Plangnam road to access the main China Town via Charoenkrung road which offer a wide variety of food options ranging from noodles, snacks, seafood, ice cream, etc. You can visit China Town either during the day or at night as there are many things available for you to enjoy.
