Hoy Kraeng means blood Cockle(螄蛤) and Pa Jeen Is the owner name(now in charge by her son). This cockle stall locate in a back alley in china town and always needa queue up. Anyway, back to the food, they only serve two things, blood cockle and mussel. Both just lightly boiled and serve with dipping sauce. 100 Baht for one portion and it is not a big one. But it is so good that we ordered 4! Cockle is boiled just right, fresh and favourable. For the sauce, it is typical Thai sour and spicy sauce with some peanut in it. People says it is their secret recipe, I am not sure but it is awesome! It is a must try if you like blood cockle!

Recommend to try if you don't have any allergy issue with shellfish. Blood cockles was one of my childhood favorite food, happy to know it is still available in Bangkok. Hoy Kraeng Pa Jeen was regarded as one of the best places to have blood cockles. It is at small street food stall, with maximum 20 seated customers at anytime. When we came around 640pm, the stall was practically full house! Each plate cost only THB100, many locals ordering more than 1 plates. We ordered only the blood cockles, size of the cockles were average, all of them were opened when it is served. It was fresh and tasty, my only wish is hoping the volume could have been more. Although this is street food, the hygiene and cleanliness was spot on, we didn't have any uncomfort the next day.

Tourist trap! 100bath for 10pcs Taste are the same like any other seafood resto. I was looking forward to eat this since I saw it on youtube. And boom I'm disappointed.. Hahah Those people are exaggerate this place.

Cockles taste amazing! Best I have had! Mussels are delicious too but not very special.
