Nice and moderately clean pier, the staff are helpfull. One way ticket to any destination is only 15 baths (yellow/orange line ), if you take a tourist boat or blue line it will cost a lot more. So always ask the price before you pay. Free shuttle boat to IconSiam which is right on the other side of the river Once you get out from the pier, just walk straight then you reached the BKK Chinatown. You wouldn't miss it.

Buy tickets from a lady with \true move\ banners. Ticket to the pier near khaosan Road is only 15 baht and its a boat number 10. There are no shops inside, but lots of them outside. Do not hold your phone in hands during the boarding cause the platform is shaking too much, very unstable.

#TipsForTrips: don’t stand at the boat end unless you like splashing waves from Chao Praya water and diesel fumes Take a boat ride experience on the Chao Praya river. It’s a straight road from Chinatown Sampeng market about 10 min walk towards the river. On the left side are counters selling tickets; choose the public boat costing only 15 bhat to Saphan Thaksin where you can get the BTS line. There are also tickets for tourists river cruise that cost more; and free shuttle boat to IconSiam mall opposite the river. Unfortunately there isn’t enough English signage nor announcement which boat to board. Best is to ask the “Conductor” manning the pier.

This the fastest way to go to Chinatown from Silom (by boat). Avoid traffic jam. When you arrive here. Just approach the Pier staff for directions. They are friendly and happy enough to help u.

Ratchawong pier is a marina that plays an important role in the unloading of goods coming into Chinatown and the export of Chinatown's products to the province. Express boats also provide a variety of ferry stops to Sathorn and ferries to Din Daeng Market and Thonburi area. Trade ships that enter Ratchawong Dock may be transported to Chanthaburi and freight may be transported south. There are warehouses to store goods that are shipped and unloaded around the marina, and there are many restaurants around the marina.
