Great Bangkok classic - inexpensive, efficient and tasty. You can sit down on one of those red chairs (no tables) or can take it to go. Just be careful not to upset the guy at the counter - he is easily irked by any kind of slow decision making, lack of resolve, change of mind etc.

Great spot for some quick curry. It’s an iconic place that’s been around for a long time and highly recommended. I think it used to be located nearby and moved as most of the reviews online show people eating on red stools (which you still do today) but with a walled background. This doesn’t seem to be the case anymore in that you sit along the wall of the building which is down this small alley. I had the green curry and would recommend it and have it again. The tea is free and you can help yourself for as much as you’d like.
One of the few local street food stalls to be featured in Netflix’s Asian Street food documentary, Jek Pui Curry has been around for decades offering tasty, simple but sumptuous rice with curry and a few side items with affordable price. Now moved from the old location 30 meter away to the owner’s house further inside, you can either sit in to dine there or order take away to eat at home. The stall is just a few minutes walk from MRT Wat Mangkon station so it’s very easy and convenient to get there.
I went here twice in a year. Also likes food culture Single chair sitting
