This small Clinic called PHA MAI Community Clinic is one of 6 run by Thanyarak Institute & Government Hospital and in charge of Outpatient treatments for dependencies on Alcohol and Heroin* (*methadon treatment) aswell as psychological disbalances. As a government institution their rates are low and affordable (Check rates at the end of review) compared to specialised private clinics like Bangkok Hospital were one pay around 100/visit the cost of medicine and get hardly more then 3days M.prescribed They also take care of non Thais, meaning any Farang or foreigner is welcome, and this very devoted team in general has a pretty good command of English. As part of the treatment they deliver 7-15 days Methadon to their patients after a doctor visit and a formal registration.( docs *) They offer the possibility of short stays in hospital and to stay as an inpatient in a post-cure. A basic understanding in Thai language is required for a post cure. Offering a fast, discreet, understanding & professional service they are actualy among the few( **) to offer such an affordable methadon treatment in Chiang Mai.
