Sukhothai Historical Park is currently divided into 4 parts: the most popular - central (practically within the city walls), north, west and combined, east-south. Only until the last one admission is free. You can move around the central part on foot, by bike, electric car (rental at the parking lot on the south side) or by bus. Visiting the central part will take about 2-3 hours depending on the chosen method. For the rest you need more than 6 hours (including transport). You will find the true spirit of history there. The remains of the ancient capital are impressive even now. Thais care a lot about it. Worth visiting and seeing everything. Here I add all photos from all parts

The park consists of 3 zones. Each with its own ticket. The most visited is the central zone. The western zone is around 2-3 km away and most of its temples are on the hill (around 100-200 m on foot but consider walking uphill in 30C) therefore least visited. I've found riding a bicycle is the most efficient way to see the sites. There're old temples and ruins outside the 3 zones as well. The official website of the park has a map and information about the temples.
It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is rich in history. It’s beautiful in the day time and also in the evening after the sun has set. Highly recommend renting a bike to go around the park.
I have been there for 4 times. Love the atmosphere, people, architecture in Sukhothai.
Great historical park. Must visit if you like ancient cities.
