Good range of coffees and not a bad brownie : ) to go along with the lovely view and comfy furniture. But why (oh why oh why) can't they use proper porcelain crockery and cutlery? Nasty plastic/paper/cardboard really diminishes from the experience! A bit of customer service training would come in handy : / Customers who understand Thai don't want to hear the inappropriate and loud conversation of the staff : (

Right on the ping river, a great place to meet friends for intelligent conversation. I also saw several people working on their computers. Of course I was listening to some blues on pandora after a relaxing walk along the river.
Pretty with a nice view of the Ping River. The changes over the years have been good, especially the relaxed seating by the waterside. Would be good to see a bathroom facility upgrade though. Just one mixed sex toilet.
Nice river side coffee shop but the river does smell sometimes depending on winds.
There are many Wawee coffee places in Thailand and specifically Chiang Mai. The differing coffees and teas here are good. If you want a good coffee that is made from beans rather then instant whilst spending time in Thailand then this is your place. The one here that I have pictures of below is right on the River Ping about 1KM from the centre. They also do great cakes and biscuits which are worth trying. The staff are polite and helpful. It cost on average anything from 60 to 80 Baht depending on the drink and Size. The same again for a piece of their great cakes. If you are a coffee lover then places like Wawee are good to go. There home brand of iced Wawee coffee to cool you down on a warm day is great.
