Great diving school. First visited this place 10 years ago to do my advanced open water. Came back with my girlfriend and another couple who had never dived before. All three passed and loved all the diving they did. Fair rates and great value for money. Dive school is also super relaxed and friendly, I did 12 guided dives in 4 days and a scuba review. Great instructors and they also look after you very well. Rock up at 0645 or 1145 and everything is sorted for you....jump on the boat and away you go. Joining them for a beer is almost a must afterwards!

I can't say enough about how supportive and accommodating Master Divers has been. They were not trying to fit us into any predetermined program but instead went out of their way to provide us the experience we hoped for. Kiri, Jason and Sam were fantastic dive masters, Sarah was amazing with her planning, and Elaine, the owner, took a personal interest in her clients. One day on the boat we casually asked for a recommendation for buying fresh bread in town. They picked up a phone and ordered some delivered to the dive shop. It was just that kind of service over and over again. Can't wait to come back.

They're the best diving school on Koh Tao! The courses adhere to the highest quality and the instructors take a personal interest in seeing that you become better divers. I've been diving with them for more than 3 years now (split over 4 trips and with multiple instructors) and never have I felt the lack of warmth that we generally receive as soon as we walk into the shop. Their boat staff is also invested in ensuring that you've a great dive trip. Right opposite the school is Coconut Monkey, your fix for anything delicious; basically, you're well fed, clothed, and taken care of at Master Divers! Do the take plunge with them!

Three of us just dropped in at Master Divers as soon as we got off the ferry in the morning, then by 1pm we were in the classroom to start our PADI Open Water course! We chose MD based on their reviews for excellent staff and high standards and they didn't disappoint. We had one instructor for four people and did the course over four days (starting in the PM on the first day, and ending late AM on the final fourth day). All the staff are very friendly and helpful, and you're always welcome to hang out there and drink tea, coffee and fill up your water bottle. Our instructor \Chicken\ was highly experienced having done thousands of dives including \tech dives\. Nothing felt rushed and everything was carried out with care and attention, and we saw lots of coral and marine life on a variety of dives. All of our confined water training was in something shallow water next to a beautiful island beach instead of a swimming pool. All of the equipment was well looked after and they always seemed on the ball with their operations when going out for dives. I don't have a comparison to make with another dive school, but I was happy to pay a little extra for the piece of mind that we were in good hands. I think the total cost was 10,800 baht per person which is at the higher end of the scale so you might prefer to pay less if you can find another reputable operation but I believe MD is known to be one of the longest running dive centres in Koh Tao so wanted to play it safe. Or you might prefer the bigger groups for more of a sociable, party atmosphere vibe but personally we preferred to choose to focus on the quality and safety as our main priorities. We also took a fun dive once qualified which was reduced to, I think, 1,300 baht having done the OW course, which was well ran and lots of fun. On a side note, Coconut Monkey next door is a great little cafe / restaurant overlooking the beach for food and drinks.

Great Dive Company. They love and care for the sea and the environment. The staff are so knowledgeable a must for anyone coming to Koh Tao to dive or learn to dive. When in store ask about Eco Koh Tao and get involved in helping to preserve the ocean
