Mueang Ranong District, Thailand
Bang Non,

This area is a public park, with no admission fee. There are little concrete platforms and flattened seating areas for families to spread out a mat along the river and picnic. There are little food stalls and suspension foot Bridges and the whole feel of the place is very casual and community. It's all focused around playing in the river, which is a nice chilled temp. There are hot springs on one side as well, but not down IN the river. You walk along a built park area where there's a playground and a feature piece of a main heated water spring. It's way too hot to touch, and there a big stage built around it, stopping you from being stupid and trying to touch it. The hot water if fed into troughs where it's mixed with cooler wayer, making it warm and nice. Everyone can walk by and roll up their pantlegs and sit along it, but they're not meant to swim in. If you want to submerge yourself, you pay 60(?) Baht to get into the official hot spring pools, also right there, looking over the river. They have towels and changing rooms and such.
