I've a number of old and current injuries and if I'd been a horse ld have been shot years ago. Leela at the Lanna Thai massage school has given me increased mobility over the years with a combination of Lanna Thai and hot herbal compress treatments. She has enabled me to continue running and increased my upper body mobility after a paragliding accident which injured my shoulder. For professional therapeutic massage and treatment this is now the Chiang Mai number one place to go.

I had never heard of Tok Sen and gave it a try. The special feature is it mixes Thai touch massage with light tap tap tapping down the force lines of your body, using wooden hammer and peg. Old Lanna technique. The effect is strange but agreeable. The result was amazing. I have trouble sleeping but after my session, I slept the sleep of the just. Woke up completely relaxed-out. Also, I take medication for hypertension. I measure when I go to bed and when I get up. Last night, my BP had come to an all all time low. This morning, still low. Have another appointment in 10 days to control for this being a freak, or placebo effect. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend only the foot massage 200b/1h! There was a good amount of pressure so that it wasn’t too painful (looking at you chinese foot massages) and not too weak so that you don’t feel a difference. This place was near the hotel I was staying at. I discovered it while walking through the area and noticed that it was a massage school. After having a good experience with the foot massage, I came back the next day for a hot coconut oil massage 550b/h and a pedicure 200b/h. The experience itself was okay, my whole body got oiled down but not much hard work done to my muscles. The oil was a little hot but nothing I couldn’t handle with a wince. I could have probably given myself the hot oil massage. As for the pedicure, it is what you get for the price. The ladies who do the massages also did the pedicure, peddies and mannies are a side gig here. The lady was a bit rough with my feet and I could tell, inexperienced. There are limited colours to choose from, tools are shared, nail files are reused. Accidental clippings was a real thing. Overall cleanliness is average.
