The best of the three museums. I enjoyed the exhibition very much.

Well presented introduction to Lanna (northern Thailand) beliefs and traditions on lower floor, beautiful textiles, Buddha images, and other crafts on upper floor. Foreigner admission is 90 baht or a 3-museum pass at 180 baht. Note that hours are changeable. Chiang Mai House of Photography is on same grounds, but different hours.

Nice little museum, a good overview and easy to absorb with plenty to look at and clear, concise texts.

Great Museum Experience! Buy the 3 museum pass for 180 Baht you have 7 days to see them all. Each takes about 1.5-2hrs, perfect escape from the hottest part of the day. Beautiful cafe too!

Love this museum ... 1. Informative about Lanna people. 2. The displays are well organised and rich in categories, from Lanna people daily life to sculpture and musical instruments. I found that the mural painting attract me the most. 3. We were lucky as we met students intern at the museum and offer us a tour (some of them are international students and they can speak English or Chinese). 4. And I guess the best part is that they have good quality (in term of translating) and quantity of English & Chinese (plus Thai) explanation plates make the visit worthwhile. Additional tips: You may be interested to find out the history of the building (the court house setting is still there in one of the room).
