I have just had a great experience at Bridders Optical in Bangkok. I went to the Wave Place location but they have one other as well. I got an eye test from an optometrist using all the same equipment you would see at a Western optometrist - except even newer and more modern. The eye test cost 1000 Baht, but I am also buying new lenses for my glasses from them, so they absorb the cost of the exam! To be clear (ha ha) this wasn't a simple eye test. She did a great job, check my lens for any signs of cataracts, check my eyeball for any irregularities, and overall I was very very impressed. Highly recommend them if you're looking for somewhere in Bangkok.

#top and definitely RECOMMENDED .. nowhere in BKK you can find a shop that make you a really optometry visit... with all the instruments and with an expert (in medicine age matters!) doctor that also has a perfect English location is also top convenient just inside MRT Sukhumvit .... #BESTinBKK

Impressive selection, top notch eye testing equipment, and great customer service. I have been a regular customer of their Asoke MRT branch, but now go to their new and larger impressive branch at Home Pro Building (connected to BTS Ploenchit) They offered to change my lens on a newly purchased glasses. I was not seeing as clearly as the lens was based on an older prescription and I unfortunately got more far sighted LOL. So a lens change at no additional charge AND they changed my old pair of glasses to the new lens prescription free of charge! A big thank you to Bridders - I fully recommend them for all your optical needs - at both their Asoke and Ploenchit branches.
