Spectacular place. The museum showing Thai history during the king Rama 2 age and also the life styles of people in the Ampawa district. Well-designed, Clean and tidy. Full of magnificent Thai wooden houses and wax models.

Nice walk around with pleasant staff and some nice displays in traditional buildings showing Thai culture in the old days. Some wildlife in the grounds, birds, butterflies and lizards. Also a huge active bee hive in a tall tree near the river
It is a spacious park with Thai traditional buildings, statues, ponds, trees and flower gardens. It was a pleasant experience to see these unique Thai architectures. The atmosphere was very peaceful. I visited during the day where the sun was bright, and it was blazing hot. If you travel during day time, you may have to bring an umbrella and wear thin casual clothes. Entry fee: 20 Baht per person. Time of travel: September 2018.
This is a very clean and well kept park with some cultural attractions and a riverfront rest area. Only 30 baht for adults and free for kids it's a good deal. The toilets are vert clean. You can see lotus ponds, orchids, gardens and traditional Thai wooden houses. These contain displays of how traditional desserts are made. You can also rent a bike for 40 baht and cycle around. There is a pleasant shaded rest area overlooking the river which gets a nice breeze. Highly recommend.
