Posting in October 2020, You cannot exit or enter from any other place other than the southern entrance in Prachinburi. Contact park in advance to see if other options have opened. Can make going north to more touristy places challenging. The waterfalls in rainy season are very nice, some are difficult to hike to. You need good shoes and should be willing to get very muddy. Camping was nice, we stayed in the larger campsite- still many things opened half way due to covid. Not a lot of selection for food. Make sure to bring all small bills as there wasn’t enough from many shop owners to break 500-1000 bills. Monkeys are a big problem in the large campsite, you cannot leave your things unattended. Leeches prominent in the second campsite and while hiking, you can rent or purchase leech socks to help keep them away from the skin.
Amazing! We had a short trail with family!
nice place but cold
WOW WOW WOW X1000. I did not know what to expect when I chose to ride to Khao Yai from Bangkok. Khao Yai National Park is GIANT and every single spot I visited was beautiful. Unfortunately I only spent 6 hours here which was NOT enough time! I saw 3 waterfalls. Did 2 mini hikes. Drove all around. Walked to an observation tower. Went to two view points and ate my lunch at one. I saw wild elephants from afar. This park is huge and beautiful.. I am still amazed at my time spent here. 400 baht for a foreigner and 30 baht to enter with my motorbike and if I had time to go again the next day I’d pay that much again even though I’m tight on money. 113% worth it and then some.
