If you are not a therapist and just looking for a fun week to get a light introduction to Thai massage while in Chaingmai maybe this place is for you. Perhaps less focus on marketing and more investment in their teaching staff would have brought a better rating. The male staff needs to practice boundaries toward the female students, a bit creepy at times. Update 4 months later, the education I received at ITM has been extremely profitable in my practice. I suppose if you can get past the high school atmosphere and crowded classrooms then this place is actually an awesome school. I've changed my two star rating to a 4 star

I finished CAPT program here and I know the content of all the courses. I STRONGLY suggest the CAPT program, and if you want to do few courses then I advice you level I to level III, extra courses take Advanced Lanna stretching and if after 3 levels you want to improve and understand better the techniques then take Elbow and Knee course. By my experience these are the best courses, other things search for other options in other places. You will need to pay extra but request your certificate to have the government stamp to make it more internationally accepted. Consider this I have being 3 months here sooo.

The teachers, faculty, and facilities at ITM are great. I took the first two levels as well as Thai foot massage. There is so much to learn, so this is more of a “crash course” in northern Thai massage. You are given the basic knowledge and some guidance so that you can take these skills and continue to learn from experience. If you choose to study at ITM, keep this in mind and be prepared to focus during class and practice a lot!!
