A great team, very helpful. The briefing was excellent. Phil knows the area extremely well. Craig is also a star. We had lovely time on the boat Northern Star, a Bavaria C45. The cruising grounds here are very nice. It's easy to get around because the distances are not too great. Some real jewels in the ocean, with plenty of nice places to eat and take a sundowner cocktail onshore if you like that too. The beaches on Koh Kood are ridiculously good! So nice. Recommended!

An amazing cruising ground that surpasses all expectations. When we read the blurb saying you will only see about 10 yachts sailing around the islands we wondered if there was a catch. There is no catch. And for the record, we only saw about four others. To sum up the experience in one word: freedom. Unlike other cruising grounds, there is no rush to get a berth for the night, or a table for dinner. Plan an approximate route based on where you wish to go, but you can change it at whim. Our daily sailing was anywhere between 10-25 miles. The key factor for route planning is probably the wind; at some stage you are likely to want to head upwind to get to Ang Thong national park. On paper we were not particularly keen to visit Ang Thong, but ended up staying an extra night; it's spectacular once the tourist boats have gone home. I've attached a photo from the viewpoint. Anchor holding was good, as were the mooring buoys. Friendly places to eat ashore, with prices varying according to taste. The food was delicious of course, and we had no ill effects. The support from Gulf Charters was excellent; we were a family of four on the Catalina 375 - I'd not sailed a Catalina before and it sailed very nicely. Captain Kim knows her stuff and will give you some top tips before you set off. Highly recommended holiday.

CRUISING on a Cat is BLISS! Getting away from the hustle and bustle. NO CARS - NO POLUTION - NO PEOPLE Out there sailing on the gentle waves with absolutly no noise other than the wind in your sails. Relaxing on deck at sea or at anchor. Staring at the stars laying on the trampoline and falling asleep. What are you waiting for! I've already booked my next cruise. The worst thing about cruising in Thailand is having to come home. Thanks Gulf Charters. Keep doing what your doing!

We spent a week sailing around the Koh Chang group of islands. The yacht charter all went perfectly and the boat was in good shape. The islands are a true tropical paradise and a perfect balance between being away from it all and easy stops for food and drink. In a week, we probably did only a third of the top places to visit and so would return to do the rest in a heartbeat.
