The Indochina Market is an interesting place. The market offers a great variety of products: jewellery, fruit and vegetables, clothing, kitchenware and many more. It is a nice stroll and a challenge to open negotiations. Beyond the high season it can be quiet. Shop open from 8:00 am onward, but in the early hours many shops are closed.

Lots of inexpensive souvenirs.
Redevelopment along the river walkway are underway. Strong winds and sand in the eyes do not go well for a shopping tour. Sadly give it a miss until its finished if you can or pick a day the wind isn't bad.
A must-see experience if you're in Mukdahan. Great selection of bags, clothes, and more.
Nice place to visit and go souvenir hunting. Prices are okay and you can try to get a better price. (maybe from 330 to 300, but don't try to fight for a better price like you are used to on a basar in Turkey or Morocco) you should also try that tower which is visible from almost everywhere. From there you can look at Laos and Vietnam, while being in Thailand.
Traditional market for the locals
The market is underground and along the riverfront facing Laos.
Nice market.
