As a business owner, high quality outsourced accounting and licensing support is critical to a start up business. Acclime does not offer this. After nearly a year of what we thought was a working partnership with Acclime (formerly Interactive) we were forced changed to another accounting company after issues arose of incorrect filings, incorrect expense categorizations. Hundreds of thousands of baht in 'write offs' were required to fix their mess. We lost a lot of money based on their work. Their services are far more expensive than the standard monthly support that is generally offered in Bangkok by accounting firms. There are MANY other options in Bangkok that offer the needed services to start a company and after sharing my experience with other local small business owners, we found many similar stories and experiences. I've reluctantly decided to share my experience of working with Acclime, in an effort to help others who are looking for support services. I strongly recommend avoiding Acclime and give your business a chance to grow and have the needed support to flourish. If you're looking for excuses, overpriced 'services', promises of help without follow-through, incorrect bookkeeping, then Acclime is the right partner for you. 2020 update: We are astonished at the level of incompetence and lack of knowledge beyond basic bookkeeping. We have gone through an audit to clear the books and our CPA has given us ample detail and lists of incorrect accounting previously completed by Acclime. Avoid this company if you're looking for competent accounting partners. The services are costly, comparatively to other companies providing the same. Too much overpromising in meetings and under-delivering the results. Good luck starting a company in Thailand. A good service provider to navigate the matrix of various agencies will be helpful (not required). In this case, its good marketing, poor results. Caveat Emptor.
I have extensive experience working with various corporate service providers in Bangkok, but I have never met anyone better than Acclime.
I needed some expert immigration advice and was welcomed to a complementary consultation in March 2019 by Ashmin. Ashmin was personable and had extensive knowledge of how to navigate my various options. Ashmin's English communication style - and her willingness to answer multiple questions after my meeting via email - was also fantastic. In the end, a massive change of plans meant I did not need to proceed with available options, however I will absolutely make Acclime my first port of call if I need these services again.
Interactive is a solutions based company that has solved and managed so many of my business needs. They are friendly, knowledgable and most importantly, reliable. I've worked with a few companies in Bangkok and this one is hands down the best. I have recommended this company to many people and they have had similar success. Visas, taxes, business back end management, this company has it all.
