I don’t know what is the present condition of this airport, but two decades back it was a clean, well-organized and facilitated airport. Internal architecture was plain and simple, so one could find required facilities easily. Arrangements were made organically. Shops were good and of wide variety. Foods were OK and not much pricy. At that time security was not a very big issue like today. So, in context of today, security system was slacked. Was well connected to the city center.

Just love this airport. Its bog and have very nice clean and beautiful duty free shops. You will get plenty of food options and restaurants to eat. Moreover, very easy to reach by public transport and staff is very nice and helpful.

The airport is considered to be one of the world's oldest international airports and Asia's oldest operating airport.[2] It was officially opened as a Royal Thai Air Force base on 27 March 1914, although it had been in use earlier. Commercial flights began in 1924, making it one of the world's oldest commercial airports. The first commercial flight was an arrival by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.[3] In September 2006, Don Mueang Airport was closed and replaced by the newly opened Suvarnabhumi Airport,[4] before reopening on 24 March 2007 after renovations. Since the opening of the new airport, it has become a regional commuter flight hub and the de facto low-cost airline hub. In 2015, it became the world's largest low cost carrier airport.[5]

The airports wasn't very busy on a Friday afternoon. There are plenty of places to eat. The wagyu beef noodles looks good for under 10. I wasn't hungry so I got a set of shrimp wanton dumplings for about 3. They were great. Fresh, plump, and juicy. The shop was called Dao coffee or something like that, near gate 31. The seats had good distancing.

There were many and various stores in the airport. There are various means of transportation to get to Bangkok city, and you can easily exchange money and purchase SIM chips.

This company has terrible customer service. We can only hope they will close due to lack of customers. Service is the most important aspect especially in the current environment. This company is the cheapest price for a reason. Pay a few extra dollars and use a better airline. They are not honest or helpful to their customers. Lion air does not deserve your business. My experience has been terrible. I will never use this company again.
