Hakbong Kwon

This is one of best gallery for contemporary art in chiang mai. Own by university. Nice parking place and location. Have to check the schedule before you visit. Cos it’s possible to remove or install at random.

University art museum specially designed for exhibition and related events. Offer art classes for hobby and tutoring. Performing art and seminar is mostly held at Main theater. Spacious parking, two little coffee shops and one clay house are in front of the museum.

Not too far from the city center, I walked there. There was an exhibition in honor of the late king. Children's drawings in the first hall are not so impressive, while older students' works are more interesting. I was the only person there, it a very quiet, cool place. Worth visiting if you are interested in art. Cocoa in the cafe is only 45 b. Closed on Mondays.

Free to enter but look a bit shabby from outside and maintenance work is in progress, a cafe and small gift shop are included. There is a sculpture exhibition by the students and worth watching.

Nice building. Unfortunately they were building up an exhibition and we could not see one but it is a great space for exhibitions!
