Big C Extra (Lat Phrao 2) located on the area used to be Carrefour convenient store, replaced by Big C. This convenient stores is located in the area crowded with people ( many villagers, land settlements, offices both government sector and private businesses including the court offices). Difference from department stores since the goods available in the stores is daily use orientation ( such as toothpaste, can foods, vegetables, fruits and so on), there are many businesses sectors located here too such as banks, home pro , offices mate etc., new business management to organize various kinds of business together so as to introduce and attract more costumers, they save times to fulfill their want and business sectors can reduce expenditures and save costs such as electric charge, water system, share using parking lots etc., any way Central Department stores and Union Mall is less than 1 k.m. away.
Yes, Big shopping , refreshment , Ice skating and may games for children., movie and many more entertainment at same place and enough parking space under the roof.
Not really familiar with the way this store merchandising all the goods and relationship between categories. Really hard to find the items I want, even found the category, the suitable size to choose were not much.
Big C is Ekamai's biggest grocery store, and this Big C Extra version (the Extra shops have more gourmet products and are far more extensive than the regular shops) is the place to buy food in the neighbourhood. Check out their Casino brand products (Big C used to be Carrefour), they have some good versions of imported cheeses and meats, and in addition to groceries, the market also has a large selection of household, electronics, and non-food items. Between this store and the neighbouring Index Living Mall, you should be able to get everything to stock a new home or condo, and just because it is in a high rent area doesn't mean prices are obscene. Big C has a lot of value items priced the same as in their other stores around town.
