No buses in the panic of Jan 2021. I suggest that you get a truck from the bus station for 180, or a motorbike taxi for 120, or catch the early morning 7am or 1:40 pm Sukhothai Wintour Big Bus to Chiangmai and they can drop you off on their way through Old Town Sukhothai.

Located across the street to the 7-eleven, there is the bus stop to reach the old town. The bus is actually a big tuk-tuk which can accommodate up to around 15 passengers. One ride is 30 baths and takes about 20mins. From time to time the "bus" will stop along the way to pick up locals but also some tourists along the main road (keep your heads up and open your ears ;)). Expect 1bus every 15-20mins (last bus departing from the old town at 5:30pm).
