A bit outdated-looking but services are actually ok, staff competant and fees are much lower than its modern counterparts in the vicinity. With well-designed renovation, this small hospital can become a choice of many more patients. (To Bangna 1 Hospital team: If you consider a face-lift, please invest in a good interior designer's service. Don't cut corners and leave it to admins or contractors to decide.)

So after getting an ear infection from the ocean or pool I was in extreme pain for two days. Day one went to the pharmacy west side of Udom Suk station adjacent to 7/11 ( great great family and now friends) and purchased ear drop antibiotics, next day came to this hospital. Beyond impressed! Tuesday at 10AM entered was greeted in near perfect English in an absolutely professional manner! My passport was scanned and returned, then I was lead to the Blood pressure reader, given a 10 minute rest and had it reread. I was lead to a seat and told I would see the English speaking doctor in room six. With factually over 200 people, seated at the various waiting stations I was seen, evaluated and confirmed what I expected was an outer ear infection within 30 minutes of entering the hospital. Having taught this to pilots since 2001, I am quiet familiar with the detailed structures of the ear and the doctor very accurately described the issue in an exceptional manner, in his second language. I was prescribed an oral antibiotic, a pain killer then lead to the Pharmacy where I was billed a total of 1710 baht for EVERYTHING! I could not be more grateful for the professional conduct of every person I encountered from reception staff through to discharge personnel. I highly recommend Bangna 1 General Hospital as a go to place for anyone in need of medical care. Oh, PS: I love Thailand!

A guy from the I.C.U right now was so rude. He speak with me in thai in an angry manner but i can not understand so i told him to please speak english but all he can say is “No speak” . The front desk receptionist told me to go to I.C.U and ring the bell after she speak with someone from the I.C.U but when i go there, that guy come out and say no. I tell him the receptionist told me to come here but i think he didn’t understand what i say so i just Step back and leave.

Well, specialists are good, doctors and nurses speak English a bit. But I feel much better. Also you can get a medical certificate for work permit.

Don't bother getting your work permit medical certification here unless you have a lot of time on your hands and speak Thai. Over 3 hours and 450 baht. Just got to a local clinic and pay 200 and be done in 10 minutes.
