Poor Jim Thompson would turn in his grave, were he to visit his shop today. I have been a customer for 25 years, but for a few years now, I always leave the shop deeply disappointed. You can still buy silk here and if that is what you want, you may well find what you are looking for, but the rest is either Indian scarves, materials that feature more synthetics than anything else and furniture that makes my stomach turn. What has happened to this store of gorgeous, quality products?! What's the point coming here anymore. So sad...... I guess the profit margins were getting too slim. I have also noticed that materials of other companies are being sold from catalogues. A few years ago, there was French wallpaper, which is no longer there. Jim Thompson has really lost it. I am not sure they still know what their brand stands for. One big mix of loud and garish things - totally different from what it used to always be
