Get away from the hustle of Bangkok to this lovely secret getaway. The long tail boat ride was quick and efficient. We spent all day on bikes rented at the pier.. Super inexpensive and truely a lovely ride on the narrow cement board walks through the cool swampy jungle to arrive at the floating market (which closes before 3pm) and charming main market. The floating market is open on Saturday and Sunday so go earlier than later to catch it. The main market is pleasant with many foods to sample, refreshing drinks, fresh market, hand made wares and other goods to buy. There are resting areas around the market that are very pleasant. It's seems like we stepped back in time. Everyone is super friendly and relaxed. We also rode around the large park and fed the fishies in the pond. A must do while in Bangkok.I

Bang Krachao Pier to Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market. Floating Market open only on Sat and Sunday. Nice route to Thailand country side.
To rent the bike a day you have to pay 60 Baht, this located right in front of the port. You have to bring your ID. The owner of the place will give you map and also wet tissue after you done cycling around.
I only wish that we had discovered this place years ago when my children were younger. It is like being up country but so close to the city. Owners are great, found awesome food on island just by following the good scents! 10/10 would do again!
