I had the opportunity to visit Thong Elephant Sanctuary and had the most amazing experience. From feeding and playing with the elephants, to giving them a mud bath and then a bath in the river. Such a memorable experience. And the owners/workers of the sanctuary were so nice and welcoming and very informative. Lunch was amazing as well. We did the half day tour but I recommend just going for the full day option. There was so much more we could of seen but had to rush back to the airport. Highly recommend this place!

Its was an amazing experience! Staff is very friendly and professional. Elephants look calm and well cared for. They were not forced to interact with us and their space has been respected the all time. The setting is very nice and the food very rich and abundant. Theres a waterfall where you can swim. Fully recommended!!

My experience would have been one of the most extraordinary in my life, however, despite enjoying the place, the friendly people, and those beautiful elephants, I was shocked and deeply disappointed when I saw what one of the boys did to one elephant. During the mud bath, one of the elephants, I think it was the youngest one, didn't want to lay down. So, the young guy, that keeps them, used something very sharp and hit the animal with it. The poor elephant made a horrible noise as if it was screaming in pain. It is disturbing even to write about it. I think it's about time to close places like this one. We should not be interacting with them like that. They are wild animals and should not be domesticated just to entertain us. They need a real sanctuary! I loved seeing the elephants, but I wish I had not been part of it. Because of US, tourists, they suffer cruelty. Please stop hurting those animals!

Such a great way to spend a morning or afternoon, learning about these wonderful creatures. We were collected from out hotel, given a talk about why the elephants were rescued. We fed, bathed and brushed then. The Sanctuary is well organised and the staff are fantastic. They have a great gift shop too. Well worth the money

We loved our day here, it was easy and affordable for our family of four. The guides were very caring and the elephants seemed extremely well cared for. We wanted an ethical experience with these wonderful creatures and were not disappointed
