The Royal Thai Army Aviation Center is the administrative organization within the Royal Thai Army responsible for doctrine, manning and configuration for all army aviation units. It base at Fort Princess Srinagarindra, located at the Mueang Lopburi, Lopburi. The aviation department was developed to progress, respectively, until converting to Air Force Department on 25 April 1944 and lacking command from the Army. The Army Aviation was revived again in 1932 when the Army approved the establishment of the Department of Aeronautical Aviation in the Education Division, The artillery school mission to detect and adjust artillery fire administrative mission communications and support skydiving. In 1956 Department of Aeronautical Aviation was transformed into Flying School Division, Artillery Center. In 1967 transformed into Army Aviation School. In the year 1972, the Army Aviation School was transformed into the Department of the Army Aviation which the Army had originally established has been updated to be the squadron and has set up the Wing or a squadron, including the aircraft in various flying squadrons many more. Finally, Department of the Army Aviation was transformed into Army Aviation Center on 20 September 1977 and received the name Fort Princess Srinagarindra from Princess Srinagarindra in October in the same year as well as providing support in non-war military operations missions which the Army Aviation Center has the capability to help find and rescue to disaster victims to support government agencies and other organizations in disaster relief.
