This Pagoda is located within the premises of Wat-Nong-Pa-Phong, a Buddhist temple which is about half an hour drive from the main town. It is nestled within a small forest and the atmosphere within the temple is very peaceful. We can drive till the entry point of the Pagoda. It is a medium-sized circular Pagoda painted with gold color. It has got four entry door and the main structure inside is another small Pagoda. We can make offerings and donations inside. I just visited this Pagoda but if you are interested you can even visit the Nong-Pa-Phong temple and the Ajahn chah museum. When I drive to this location, I used google map where the roads were very narrow with potholes but I returned to the main town via another road which is of longer duration but the road was very good. I would recommend to use Kantharalak road. Time spent: approx. 30 mins. Time of travel: June 2018. Opens daily: 08:00 - 17:00 hr.
The chedi where the relics of Luang Pu Chah is enshrined. On the 16 Jan every year, there will be a offering of flowers as the main highlight of the commemoration ceremony.
This complex has three parts (Museum Ajahn Chah – Luang Pu Cha Pagoda - Wat Nong Pa Phong). The Pagoda is a simple but elegant structure, and is well used by worshipers. Peaceful and shaded for reflection and meditation.
A fairly simple, yet ornate Pagoda. If you are in the area it is worth a visit. I would not travel long distances to visit though.
Built in Esan-Lanchang style and houses the remains of Pra Bodhiyana Tera (Cha Supatto), followers come to worship and learn from his teachings all year round.
