SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! stay away from the TAT in Bangkok! At some stage you will be in a tuk tuk and he will drop you there! They catch tourists just off the plane who don't know the prices of anything plan there holiday tell you your getting 20% off because of some Buddha day and pressure you into getting it! When really your paying 4 times as much as you should be! It's a SCAM and poor representation of the Thai people everyone stay away!!!

SCAM: A tuk tuk driver who seems really willing to help you will probably drop you off in a TAT office. The friendly people working there will then pressure you into taking a trip you didn't really want to take, for longer than you planned to. You will pay more than double price. Skip these offices, and just book everything online or in your ho(s)tel.

Hi everyone, Basically it’s a place where they rip you off. I’ll be quit honest, it’s not even locals that own this place and they use the local people to make money off of you. Believe me or not, I studdy in business and had many jobs in marketing. They tell every single locals that ride « took took » (smal thaï cars) to bring them every tourist at their place and to make you book your whole trip. They make you believe that they know everything about thaïland just to rip you off. The guy even told me in words: « We know we rip you off but thats just how it goes ». Two big guys from England that work there. I never did this of my life (writing a comment) but I just couldn’t stand seeing that guy (not even from thaïland I repeat) in front of me using local thaï people to rip off tourist and that guy had litterly no pith for tourist. Please do not listen to them book your things (hostel, hotel, bus ride) on internet it will be must cheaper. Thank you. Just don’t go there, tell the people that ride the « took took » that you guys already went. They will listen to you, just insist a bit don’t be shy, it’s their work, they do it becaue they don’t have any choice but they hate them I can’t guaranty you. The locals do it only for money.. please listen to me, when we went in their office the locals couldn’t look me me in they eyes because he was scared that the TAT would’t give them the free gaz for their car. Sorry for my english It’s not perfect. Good trip to thailand. Beautiful Country but in Bangkok do not go there they make you feel tocomfortable only to make money off of you. They will try to make you believe your doing everything wrong just to rip you off. It’s not true.
