Loved my afternoon with Nick. I have a Canon 5D that I didn't know how to use very well, but right from the start Nick gave me some quick pointers and the confidence I needed to shoot stunning photos in manual settings. I was so surprised by the results. He critiqued my shots along the way and within no time I was shooting completely differently. Going through all the little Sois within Chinatown was quite something, I would of never been on my own. At the end we ended up in a very local karaoke bar which I think for me was the highlight. The pointers you'll get are well worth the cost of the workshop, spending an afternoon with a true local is a priceless bonus. I can't recommend Nick enough, whether you're a pro or an amateur like me you'll get a lot out of this workshop, I can't recommend it enough. I live in Bangkok and I'm already looking forward to a second outing with Nick.

First of all - we had a great day! I found Nicks homepage while searching in the web for a photographer who offers tours in and around Bangkok. getting in contact with mail and align some target for the day was quite easy and quick. Pick up at my hotel at 6:10am was early but ok for a good day of taking pictures. Nick proposed to go to the \Rom Hoop market\ (rom hoop close the umbrella) where several time a day a train is driving through the market. A real spectacle. The umbrella were closed minutes befor the train arrives, the fruits and fishes were pushed back, just to be seconds after the train passed be pushed back on the position they had before ... and the selling is going on. Nikc explained, how he inspected the spot before, what he takes care - foreground, background, possible setting. Next stop was a floating market, what was unfortunately more boats with tourits than a market. So we hadded back to Bangkok for lunch and a little rest, before we entered China Town - we walked through small sois - I would never find if I was there alone. Nick showed a lot of nice places and oppotunities to take picture and what are his setting and ideas behind the pictures and scenes. After all a really successfull day and I am sure, we will stay in contact for the next photo day - in my next holidays. Attached are 2 pictures - one from Rom hoop market and one with Nick and his ew friend\ in China Town ;-)

Nick takes you down some very unique areas of Chinatown. His in-depth knowledge of the neighborhood and strong connection with the people makes the experience memorable. Definitely a must for anyone who wants to learn photography or simply challenge their skills all while visiting this beautiful city.

I had a great time with Nick travelling through Chinatown to places I would not have found by myself . His level of knowledge of Bangkok is outstanding so too is his knowledge of photography . I would highly recommend anyone who is keen on photography and wants to explore Bangkok to take this workshop .
