This is really good museum to read about the Chinese history in Thailand and how they build the golden Buddha and forms the gold. I can rekocomend to visit this museum if you are in Bangkok.

Nice temple Golden Buddha inside! Entrance fee is 50 baht. Very easy to find (near Chinatown) easy to get tickets and few stairs to climb than you are in. It is very impressive and larger than you might imagine. Worth a visit

I absolutely enjoyed my visit to this museum. Located on the 2nd floor of What Traimit (temple) at the entrance to Chinatown/Yaowarat, the ticket actually covered two museums - the Golden Buddha museum and the Chinatown Heritage museum. My friends and I paid extra for a guide who introduced us to the history of the temple, and how the Golden Buddha (made from real gold) was casted, lost during the Thai-Burmese war, and later rediscovered. The heritage museum is a walk down memory lane (especially for elder Chinese people who may recognize bits and pieces of their migrant lives) that tells the history of Chinese migration to Siam, how these migrants established their lives in the Yaowarat area, and have integrated into local culture.

For a Thai temple, this is kind of small. But it’s also not a crowed as the more famous ones. We like it because it was close to the MRT and our hotel.

No trip is complete without checking out Chinatown at Yaowarat Street. The streets are lined with stalls selling scrumptious and mouth-watering food.

Place is quite small, but mesmerizing and worth to visit. Be aware that this is also a place for buddhist people to pray, so don't forget to respect them.
