Bangkok City Library is quite a big library, the building looks old but well maintain. It was nice to sit and browse some books, the air-conditioner worked well. Inside the library is so quite, people are sit and read books quietly. This Library is located just one block from the famous night street market which is Kaosan Road...

Beautiful library, worth a stroll around, but don't forget to bring your passport or Thai id to enter.

Nice quiet space with many tables with power outlets on three air conditiined floors- one dedicated for children. The friendly staff let me in upon showing my work permit. There are some English books and a lot of books in Thai language. I love the quiet tables to do some serious reading/writing. Opens at 9 and closes at 8.

Elegant renovation project of the Royal Family. Love the abundant natural light and the fusion of east-west architectural elements of the project.

I’m living in Bangkok since my university study. To be honest, I never thought that there’s such a nice and cozy atmosphere library in old town area before. Only know others places but not here. I guess they just renovated the interior couple years ago because it looks quite new. If you’d like to read book of our beloved king rama9, there’s a plenty here for you.
