Rail station is easy to navigate despite being incredibly busy. Tickets are very easy to purchase. Two second class tickets (upper/lower berth sleeper) for under 2000 Baht (898 Baht upper/998 lower) or roughly 63.20USD from Bangkok to Nong Khai (12 hours). Helpful friendly staff. Dining prices to seat are reasonable with decent selection. *EDITED* There was a change in staff halfway into the night, and the 'gentleman' who took over was the absolute WORST I have ever encountered. Pushy, rude, had no clue as to handle customers with special needs.
