It is a nice cozy place, but it offers such an impressive collection. Many historical info is on display and yes it is in English. It is a must for people who love camera. It is free of charge.

I've never seen such a large collection of cameras covering the late 19th Century through the 20th Century. I think the older generation (like myself) will enjoy this the most for it's nostalgic impact. I saw my Zenit camera here that I owned in the late 1970's and you may well see cameras here that your Father or Grand Father owned. Many of the displays are organised by the camera brand, Leica, Cannon, Nikkon etc. As well as old cameras displayed there are photos, information on image processing techniques and photographic accessories e.g Exposure meters. Yes, I remember using one of these to get the correct speed/aperture settings for my camera. With the incredible photographic capabilities of modern day smartphones, it makes you realise just how far we've come within a century from the large, heavy and limited equipment of the past. Fascinating place and worth a visit, it is free to enter. I was the only visitor at this museum during the one hour I stayed. The place is not easy to find, it is within the University Campus site on the 3rd floor of one of the buildings. But if you pin the location to Google Maps, then just ask one of the students where it is when close by, they will show you.

It’s located on the 3rd floor inside the Materials Science Building of the Chulangkorn University. A must visit if you’re a photography afficionado. Worth checking out if you’re in the area and would like to see an array of vintage cameras from the very beginning starting in 1826 the first photograph by Joseph Nicephore Niepce.

It’s quite a gem! Although it’s basically just one big room, there are hundreds of classic old film cameras and equipment on display. Explanation is both Thai and English. The museum is located on the University campus. Just follow Google Maps.
