I am a train lover, always pick to use train before airplanes, The train in Thailand have a lot of destinations and many find of train to use for, air conditioning first class, 1 room have bottom bed and top bed with locked room by train worker make bed for u, 2th class air conditioner no room separate space by curtain with worker make bed for u, the less of that , bogey with fan bed and sit down.
Easy access. Wheel chair friendly. Bathroom. Waiting room cover. Restaurant. Shop. Police on place. Tourist police 500 meters.
Old, but charming train station. Lots of food available. New train station is coming soon.
Actually, I was there just a week ago. I love travelling by train in Thailand, especially in the newly refurbished and comfortable coaches offering much smoother rides. A secure, overnight, air conditioned, second class, lower sleeper bunk bed from in a trip from BKK to Nongkai cost me just under 1000 baht, however, an upper bunk bed is even cheaper. The variable reading lights work well and there are even individual electrical sockets to charge a cell phone but no alcohol is served in the dining car.
Large and clean station. Clear information and many destinations. Prices are acceptable. Confirm seat and train before leaving.
This railway station is take you everywhere in thailand but be careful to check before go station cause some time most train full to Chang mai.... you can get information and timetable from railway information center at station....also you can check website to know everything you need... stuff are good also some know English....also have restaurant and coffee shops
