Delicious food and not very expensive price. Mist come early to avoid queue. The interior of the restaurant is very nice. The tom yam soup, pandan chicken, shrimp cake, fries rice with shrimp fats, prawn with glass noodles is a must to order. For the drink must try their lemon glass juice.

Just behind Siam Square One - very convenient. Live music on level 1 by a performer donned in traditional costume. Request for level 2 for a more personal space. The food is a little pricey, yes, but it had consistent quality every time I was there. For example, the Steamed Seabass was fresh (almost every table had one). My favourite dishes are simple: Pandan Chicken, Thai Fish Cakes, Green Curry Chicken, Thai Basil Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice and Mango Sticky Rice (Classic Max!). If you are dining at one of the smaller tables away from the main dining area, look below the table. I once had dinner on a table improvised from an old sewing machine! It is ALWAYS crowded at dinner time. I always arrive early (between 5.30pm to 6pm) to make sure I get a seat.

Great place to eat Thai food!! I love the shrimp roll! And fried rice and fried noodles are all good! Price is fair, good environment and service. After you have a meal, you can walk around there, good location to shop.

This restaurant has been recommended to us by a friend. It totally lived up to our expectations. Very friendly service and lovely Thai cuisine. We've been twice during our 3 days stay in Bangkok. My personal favourites: Pad Thai (sweet and sour fried noodles with shrimps), deep fried marinated chicken wrapped in Pandamus, Tom Yum soup and tapioca ball and steamed pancake stuffed with sweet pork and peanut. On busy nights (weekend) you'll need to either reserve the table or queue but it's definitely worth it.

As our go-to place in the Siam Square area, Ban Khun Mae has never disappointed (we've been going ever since it opened back in the late nineties - and always breathe a sigh of relief to find it still there). Food is consistently excellent (the ubiquitous chicken green curry is as good as you'll get anywhere in Bangkok) and prices are reasonable. Service is efficient and friendly.
