Lots of nature; very happy on its behalf. I stayed in a tent for a couple of nights and it was really nice and enjoyable. From time to time you'd hear someone trying to scare away a deer that got lured to their food. The staff I met at the information center was terrible. Little information and no will to work. The only thing they told me (again and again) was that I needed a ranger to guide me through the trails (3rd onwards). I did number 5 on my own and it was amazing. With some orientation notions you can walk freely.. even though there weren't any hints when the path divided, there were marks on the trail (5/2300 meaning 2300m of path number 5). I suppose that hiring an experienced ranger could be really good, especially if you are not used to wandering in the forest and spotting animals, but it strongly depends on who it is. It is pretty easy to hitchhike through the roads inside the park, if you don't mind sitting is some pickup truck full of bottles (true story). Highly recommended for a hint of nature. Oh.. and beware of the leeches.

In spring 2017 we did a Khao Yai tour at/with Greenleaf. The tour was a drive through the park to places where you can spot animals and a real walking trail through the bush. We saw a lot of animals like a big bull Elephant, Moon bear, porky pie, different species of deer, snakes, gibbons , long tail Macaques’, several snakes and a lot of insects and birds. We also visited some nice waterfalls and saw there even a crocodile. We saw a Moon bear in a tree(seeing this animal is rare) and when we trailed through the bush the front of our group encountered even two Moon bears which immediately fled away. Our guide was very shaken from this event :) I really recommend a visit at the Khao Yai park.

It's very nice. You can go camping with your family and friends and see the wildlife. There is a lot of things to do there.

A beautiful National Park with tons of wildlife to observe! I went on a day tour, and I got to see wild elephants, birds, monkeys, lizards, and crocodiles. You can obviously see them at the zoo, but it's different when you observe wildlife in the jungle. The view was amazing from top of the mountain, the waterfall, and the lush forest with gigantic trees that's hundreds years old. I would love to come back and do an overnight tour next time. Strongly recommended for wildlife lovers rather than scenery!

A very beautiful place to visit, only thing is that it is a bit in the middle of nowhere and traveling there takes some time. Definitely worth it!
