We had an excellent time learning batik. Tiew is amazing, super helpful and great to talk with!
We spent a few wonderful hours doing our own scarf and batic. There is no better souvenir for taking home. She helped us put a piece of our sole into color.
We visited koh jum in May and as it is low season most bars, restaurants and atractions were already closed. I was really looking forward to do some cooking class and luckily Baan Tiew was still open. We booked day before and we chose what would we like to learn. It was our thai favourite Tom kha gai soup, chicken pad thai and Makanam curry. When we arrived to the cooking class all ingredients were alredy prepared for us peeled and cut with list of ingredients on which we were taking notes. Cooking itself was fun, we really enjoyed it and lerned a lot. Then we sit down to eat but we couldnt possibly finish it all so our hostess packed everything for us to take home. Highly recommended
