Excellent collection of prehistoric and early civilisations. At present the halls of textiles and folk art are closed, and museum admission is free.

Just a small but neat museum located in Ubon. Tells the history and has some interesting relics/antiquities. It is not open everyday so plan your trip accordingly. There is a park right beside it and the city pillar is also located through the back gate. Have a great trip and a great day.

The museum is fantastic. You will learn the history and culture from all the sacred objects. The museum has prepared all the information and vdo clip to explain in details. They maintenance all the objects and museum itself very well taken care of and staff are friendly. Amazing place to come and discover the history.

I've been to many provincial national museums. Ubon offers a similar formula to many: provincial history that spends too much time stressing caveman times and not nearly enough time discussing current last 100 year events. There are 5-6 amazing statues here tho and it's well worth a visit. Lots of English. Even a couple English videos

An interesting museum about Nan Province containing a wide assortment of artifacts. It is a welcome change from visiting the many beautiful temples around the city of Ubon. It was undergoing renovations during my visit so it was free for everyone. Sadly, there is dual-pricing in effect here.

Cost for non Thai is 100 THB to visit. No problems with parking. Lots of pieces one display the pre-historic finds in the area. Worth the visit to understand the finds in the area. No AC but it is not too bad.

The museum contains ancient Buddha images, pre-historic rock paintings, prehistoric stegodon's ivory, history of Ubon and its culture items. The museum is a traditional Thai wooden building.
