I absolutely loved my experience with Freebird! I did the SUP Lesson in the morning and loved it so I decided to try their famous night tour! It was - hands down- the highlight of my trip in Thailand. The staff was welcoming and wanted to make sure that we have the best time. Our guide kept asking “are you happy?!” and took us to best spots to see the plankton. We went through a cave and it was the coolest thing ever! I was amazed by the different colours of the fish and the coral that we were able to see with the LED lights under the boards. I definitely recommend this adventure if you want to experience magic. Thank you Freebird, I will be back!

Amazing Staff, great quality equipment, if you’ve never paddled before Olive will give you a lesson and get you paddling like a pro in no time. They also host a super special sunset-night tour with lights under the boards and now they have glass bottom kayaks too!

By far the best activity on Railay beach. The night tour is a very unique experience, heading out on the water in such a beautiful place at sunset. The guides are so friendly and really make you feel welcome and part of the group. It was a clear night and could see all the stars which was amazing, as we paddled around. The plankton are incredible, they light up like stars in the sea. Definitely don't miss the chance to do this when you come to Railay.

I think it’s a unique experience that’s worth doing, despite being overpriced. Where else in the world can you paddle board in the darkness to find bioluminescent plankton (which looks like tiny flecks of glitter when disturbed, not bright blue as I had imagined)?! You could hire a board from the guy on the beach for 900 baht but it’s probably not very safe to paddle out on your own in the dark. Lam’s boards are fitted with blue neon lights underneath which light up the sea, creating a nice mood for the journey. Lam is very friendly. His jokes are playful and create a nice atmosphere while paddling. As mentioned in other reviews, small fish around finger size jump onto the board throughout which is funny, especially when there are some sensitive people in the group. I would recommend to friends with some holiday cash to splash, but probably hold onto your pennies if you have to decide between this and a boat tour of the islands. For that, I highly recommend you check out Krabi VIP Tours.

What can I say more ... Wow !!! What a fun experience I had today with Freebird in Railay Thailand! I rented a board of \Stand Up Paddle (SUP)\ at the price of 300THB an hour to explore the area. Firstly their inflatable SUPs are of very high quality and the staff is there to help you find the right board best suited to your size / weight / experience. Before leaving I was asked for my experience and comfort level to help me choose. If you are experienced, we let you go explore alone. Since it was only my second experience in SUP, I received some tips to help me but I think it is also possible to take lessons on the spot. For my part I went on an adventure with my spouse. On one side you could explore the bay and beach of Ao Phra Nang with its limestone rocks, caves and crystal clear water. I also recommend you bring your mask and snorkel with you on the board to explore the seabed at the same time. The water is not very deep and so blue that we can see all the corals and fish below our board. There is even a place in the middle of the water between 2 rocks where it is possible to swim and to be standing in the bottom of the water. If you go to the other side (right) you can go to the beach of Tonsai, a small charming village. On the board, it is possible to stand but also to kneel or sit for rowing. The water was so beautiful, so hot and the scenery so enchanting that it was a really great experience. In short, an activity that I recommend to everyone, beginners or experienced!
