My wife and I just finished a morning cooking class at Thai Akha. What a wonderful experience! The kitchen area which is outdoors but under cover is stunning and so peaceful! Niti did a great job communicating with us ahead of time, gathering our menu choices and answering questions we had. She was fully prepared for our visit, from a nice pot of coffee to all the menu ingredients prepared for us. The pace of the class was perfect - from instruction, to cooking, to time to enjoy eating all the great food with lots of leftovers! We learned so much, made and ate delicious food, and enjoyed the great conversations. We would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!!

This place was amazing the staff was so attentive and kind we made several amazing Thai dishes and visited an amazing market to buy some traditional Thai ingredients and food I really recommend this Thai cooking class the whole experience was amazing

After reading all the great reviews I had high expectations of this cooking class. And as a real food lover I was so positively surprised by everything!!!! The location looks like it’s from a movie, with the beautiful green garden and the big bamboo style kitchen, the teacher was really helpful and funny and the amount of dishes was crazy, we made 11 different types of things! Don’t eat too much before you come here, you will be full for the whole day! And also really nice to have the extra Akha touch, with their traditional dishes and also lots of nice facts about the tribe and their culture. Thank you for the amazing day!!

This is a great cooking class experience. J is super patient and polite! Great teacher. My wife and I booked an evening class. There was so much food that we had to ask for ways to bring it back to our hotel. I would recommend this class to anyone. Thanks J for an awesome experience! (Bring bug spray for evening mosquitos!)

Absolutely amazing experience! I couldn’t even finish everything past the appetizer. For those who want to attend, it’s more than just a cooking class. The company will take you to the marketplace to sample some authentic food from the country. Beware of the small peppers!! We met up with a group of ladies and we all had a wonderful time! The cooking class is very thorough and you will learn a lot about the culture as well as the reasoning behind certain foods/spices. Please attend if you can, they do provide a shuttle service and will coordinate with you ahead of time.

We love, love, LOVE Thai food. But we've never dared to cook it. Neither have we been successful at cooking much Asian food. After this class we'll definitely be cooking it at home. The class was very well structured, appropriately paced, and all the ingredients were fresh. We picked up some tips and tricks to help with cooking Asian food in general. Apparently cooking classes are a "thing" to do in Chiang Mai. This particular class was recommended to us by someone we met in Phi Phi. Great night.

The class is well organized but not their hotel pick up. We waited 1 whole hour, and 2 phone calls before their Uber driver showed up and we had to pay for the taxi fee. We did get reimbursed later. The class designed and executed well. If the instructor didn’t throw an egg in my daughter’s wok and splashes oil burned her arm, I will give a 4 star. The instructor is not very sensitive to people’s feeling.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Absolutely loved the cooking class! Everything was clean and up to Western standards. Good workflow and every step was well thought-through. Teacher had a good level of English too. Fresh ingredients and wonderful tastes!! We ate so much throughout the evening after finishing our dishes that we could personally pick. Had a lot of fun and I can't wait to share all the Thai and Akha dishes with my friends and family back home. Thanks a lot to Thai Akha Kitchen and their staff for this unique evening.
