Lunch at Nimman. Under 100 and very delicious when the time are busy. Japanese for my lunch is perfect.
Don't let the simple exterior fool you. I had a lot of Japanese restaurants in Bangkok but this one in Chiang Mai is the best for me in Japanese home cooking. Light and homey taste yet so yummy. I ordered nanbang set and really love the thick sauce on crispy chicken. With perfectly refreshing rice and side dishes. You can choose to change rice and soup in set meal. Free tea. A lot of Japaneses and colleague students in evening. Really recommend if you're around Nimman
The best Japanese restaurant in Chiang Mai in my opinion. Not the most fancy and expensive - if fact the prices are quite reasonable. I say the best because the food is authentic Japanese: real home cooked meals made with proper ingredients. That’s not a surprise as the owner is Japanese and tends to every detail of her incredibly delicious and nutritious food.
Another wonderful favorite Japanese restaurant serving delicious home-style food. I've noticed that this is another very popular spot for both Japanese and Thai residents alike, so it does get pretty busy sometimes. Set menus are reasonably priced with very well arranged portions of main dishes and cute little side dishes. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and - as I haven't visited in a while - am happy to see that they've now expanded the restaurant to accommodate more customers too. Apparently, aside from a delivery service, they also have their set meals available for purchase at HillSide Condo on Huay Kaew Road too!
