Even though I’m a Christian, I still find this place to be relevant to my faith. More importantly, I prayed here recently for the Lord to help me find a way to overcome my recent wave of work stress...and he delivers. For that reason alone, this is the place for me when it comes to talking to God

Seven Fountains Spirituality Center is managed by the Jesuits. A Roman Catholic retreat center, it offers peace and serenity to those who are weary. Pilgrims are given the opportunity to have a silent retreat under the guidance of a personal spiritual director. To learn more, visit their website. The facilities and amenities are well-maintained and bedrooms come with a personal ensuite. There are chapels for prayer and Masses are celebrated daily.

I have been to Seven Fountains two times, both for a time of silent retreat. For a retreat, it really is an excellent choice to just get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life to reflect, pray and to be with the Lord. They have 5 different chapels that people can go in and use for prayer and reflection, daily masses (both english and thai at 6.00pm on weekdays and saturdays) and sunday masses (thai: 7.30am, english: 9.30am). All rooms have aircon, fan, a single bed, a desk and chair, cupboard, balcony and also an ensuite toilet. Though the room is simply furnished, it is more than adequate. They do not enforce a fixed price for the rooms, but suggest an offering of 850 baht per night per room. This includes 3 meals a day which are sumptuous homecooked thai food with seasonal fruits. It is a place for silence, so even meals are to be eaten in silence. The compound also contains a main garden (with 5 huts) and many bunnies, roosters, squirrels, turkeys roaming about freely. For those who desire meditation, they also have a labyrinth on the compound. I have never regretted coming here! :) It is also situated near many cafes and a night market and the university.

I had a wonderful experience here w the Jesuits. Peaceful and hospitable. Do come for a guided retreat. Come for the peace. After a weeks' stay, I miss being able to pop into a chapel to sit w Jesus.
