Something great and never seen before. It is true that we were not at three thousand meters above sea level, but still you could feel that you are not among Thais. Origin: Tibet. Work: selling local products. Life: It goes on at its own pace. Infrastructure: a village made of everything that could be used. You must see this

We loved this village! There were small shops basically scattered throughout and it's very much a marketplace. However, if this is how locals can survive and make money, we were more than happy to contribute. We loved the serene beauty here and they also had really informative exhibits about the history of the Hmong people. You also have the option to dress up in a traditional Hmong outfit and headdress, which we thought was so cute! Note: Visited prior to COVID, so things may be different.

Note that the village is mainly a shopping spot. There is a small, one room museum and a nice garden at the top of a hill - and both spots are only accessible by walking through long corridors of covered souvenir shops. The shops sell clothes, souvenirs, etc. The goods sold are not really unique, you can get them at other places in the area, but the prices seem good. The museum is very dated and while the information is interesting, the contents are faded and dusty. Not really much here at the end of the drive up the mountain. On the plus side, we had some good noodles at one of the shops that surround the main parking area.

Such a lovely village nestled on the side of this mountain, with several souvenir shops (good prices), a few historical / museum stands that allow for good education of not only this area, but offers also education opportunities to learn about the various Hill Tribes throughout Thailand. Among all of this, there is a wondeful manicured flower garden throughout the village. At the very top of the village, there is a pavilion overlooking the village, and a nice place to sit, have a meal and a cup of coffee.. Hint: take a jacket, especially if you are visiting first thing in the morning, as it can be quite chilly!!

This is a small village on the way upto Doi Pui. There are nice souvenirs, food and ornaments that you can buy. People here speak good enough English. People can drive their private vehicles up here. But note that the roads are a little narrow, so drive with caution. There is parking space at the village. You can also get a local cab to drive you up there which could cost around 60 baht. Depends on the negotiation ability.
